The Monroe PTO is an organization of parents whose purpose is to provide resources to our school. Each year the PTO organizes many activities for students and their families. In addition to organizing these activities, the PTO also provides funds to classroom teachers for additional teaching resources.

There are many opportunities throughout the year for you to get involved with activities at Monroe. Volunteers are always needed operate book fairs, Pizza/BINGO nights, Breakfast with Santa, and Jamboree day.

All PTO sponsored events are open to non-members. However, membership in the PTO ensures that funds continue to be available to support these wonderful events.

Membership forms are available to print online. Your child can return this form to his or her classroom teacher.
General membership meetings take place on the 1st Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the teachers' lounge at Monroe. All members are welcome to come!
Teachers, staff, students, parents, and community members are invited to show their spirit and support of Monroe Elementary by purchasing Monroe Spirit Wear. Many different styles are available in short sleeve, long sleeve, and sweatshirt styles. Below you can see the different logos that are available. Use the Merchandise Order Form to make your selections. Return the form and payment to your child's teacher.
Collect Box Top cut-outs from participating General Mills products. Your child can deposit Box Tops in the main office or the designated container in their classroom. Monroe receives $0.10 per Box Top redeemed. During the 2009-10 school year, we collected over $800 in Box Tops. Visit their website for great collection sheets, money-saving coupons, and contests that can benefit our school. Box Tops also offers on-line shopping for dozens of retail stores. A portion of your total will be sent to the school.

Collect UPCs from participating Campbell's & Pepperidge Farm products. Your child can deposit Campbell's Labels for Education in the main office or the designated container in their classroom. Monroe can redeem the collected point for supplies to help our school. Please ensure that you include the UPC code with the label!

Purchase items from Scholastic website or from
our school book fairs. We have two Book Fairs each year, in the fall and spring. Scholastic donates funds and classroom materials to the Monroe PTO based on a percentage of book sales.
