General Information
New Student Registration
Enrollment for all district schools is available online. Access Online Student Enrollment and create a new user account to get started.
Although initial registration is available online, in order to enroll your child, parents still need to present several documents to the school district. You will need to provide the school with the following information in order to register your child:
- Immunization record
- Registered birth certificate
- Child's social security card (optional)
- Proof of residency
(current utility bill, copy of rental contract, real estate contract, etc.) - Name and address of previous school attended
- Parent ID for notarization of form
Attendance Areas
Attendance area boundaries have been redrawn and are in effect for the 2011-2012 school year. The link below contains a list of all streets in the City of St. Charles School District and the corresponding elementary school designated for that address.
Transportation Services
The City of St. Charles School District provides free bus transportation for students living more than one mile from their assigned school. Bus service is also provided to students if an IEP team determines transportation is a related service due to a student's disability.
Supply Lists 2011
Each grade level team meets yearly to reevaluate the supplies students will need for the following school year and make every effort to keep the cost low. Supply lists for the 2011-2012 school year are listed below.

Start Time: 8:50 a.m.
Dismissal Time: 3:50 p.m.
Supervision for students will begin for students at 8:30 a.m. Students are not allowed in the building before this time, unless they are enrolled in before school care.
Before and After School Care
Before and after school day care services are available at Monroe Elementary School through the St. Charles County YMCA. Morning care begins at 6:30 a.m. and after school care ends at 6:00 p.m.

Alert Now System
The Alert Now System is an automated message system utilized by the City of St. Charles School District. District-wide and Monroe informational messages will be sent periodically with news including:
- Inclement weather alerts and cancellations
- Community meeting notifications
- Special event reminders
Please keep your telephone number up-to-date on your child's emergency card in order to receive the important Alert Now messages!
School Cancellations 
In the event of severe weather, the City of St. Charles School District may choose to dismiss students from school early or cancel events and/or classes for the day. The cancellations are announced through a variety of media outlets, including Alert Now System, district Facebook page, Twitter feed, and the media outlets listed below.

All families should have an inclement weather plan in the event that school is dismissed early. If inclement weather is forecasted, please plan with your child ahead of time so that they know how they will be leaving school, if it will be a different transportation than usual.
