Although initial registration is available online, in order to enroll your child, parents still need to present several documents to the school district. You will need to provide the school with the following information in order to register your child:

The City of St. Charles School District provides free bus transportation for students living more than one mile from their assigned school. Bus service is also provided to students if an IEP team determines transportation is a related service due to a student's disability.
Each grade level team meets yearly to reevaluate the supplies students will need for the following school year and make every effort to keep the cost low. Supply lists for the 2011-2012 school year are listed below.

Supervision for students will begin for students at 8:30 a.m. Students are not allowed in the building before this time, unless they are enrolled in before school care.
Before and after school day care services are available at Monroe Elementary School through the St. Charles County YMCA. Morning care begins at 6:30 a.m. and after school care ends at 6:00 p.m.

In the event of severe weather, the City of St. Charles School District may choose to dismiss students from school early or cancel events and/or classes for the day. The cancellations are announced through a variety of media outlets, including Alert Now System, district Facebook page, Twitter feed, and the media outlets listed below.
All families should have an inclement weather plan in the event that school is dismissed early. If inclement weather is forecasted, please plan with your child ahead of time so that they know how they will be leaving school, if it will be a different transportation than usual.
