Course Description
This program is open to juniors, seniors, and post-secondary students who have an interest in computer maintenance as a wage earning occupation.

Students will learn to install, test, and repair computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. Extensive operation theory for computers and networks is incorporated in the course. Students are expected certified PC technicians before completing the program by taking the Comp TIA A+ certification exams. Exam sites and cost will be shared with the student.

Students who successfully complete this program will be able to provide technical support for hardware, software and network systems. Graduates may be employed by computer retailers, service companies, consulting firms or businesses that maintain their own systems.

Students applying for this program should have completed Keyboarding, Algebra I, and have a basic understanding of microcomputer application software.

Program: One Year
Level: Junior/ Senior/Post Secondary
Credit: 3 Units Per Year
Prerequisite: Keyboarding or Microcomputer Applications would be beneficial for students applying for this program
