Identification and Certification
The St. Charles School District Preschool program offers:

Preschool classes are offered at all six
elementary schools
-
Three-hour sessions are available Monday
through Friday
-
Depending on location, full-day and
extended-day child care options are
available
General Information
- Locations:
Blackhurst Elementary, Coverdell
Elementary, Harris Elementary, Lincoln
Elementary, Monroe Elementary, and Null
Elementary Schools.
- Morning and
afternoon (1/2 day) sessions will be
available for 3-5 year olds.
- Children must be 3
before August 1, 2011.
- Certified teacher
and para-professional for each
classroom.
- Designed to
meet the Missouri Early Childhood standards and prepare all students for kindergarten.
- Parents will be responsible for transporting their child to and from the program.
Eligibility
- All resident
students are welcome to apply, and will
be screened for developmental readiness
by Parents as Teachers. Non-resident students are welcome to
apply for tuition-paying preschool
spaces; however, students who live within the
district boundaries will be given first
consideration for placement.
- Students with the
greatest academic need will be offered
admission to the preschool with tuition
paid by Title I funding as funding
allows. (District residents only.)
- Additional students
will be enrolled, and parents will be
responsible for tuition.
- Financial
Scholarships may also be available as
funding allows. (District residents
only.)

Tuition Cost
- Preschool tuition is $3,150 per
year. Each child will receive a $500
scholarship which brings the tuition
down to $2650 per year, or nine monthly
payments (August through May - with no
payment collected in December) of
$294.45.
