Thank You to St. Charles Voters - Tax Levy Transfer
The District would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone that made it out on a very cold February 8th to vote. Community approval of the Proposition K.I.D.S. Tax Levy Transfer allows the District to continue programs to better serve students. This transfer of funds approved by voters will free approximately $1.2 million each year to help the District continue to implement smaller class sizes, a reasonable textbook replacement cycle, reduce cuts to the technology budget and maintain a cycle of capital improvements. Thank you for all of the St. Charles community support for all of the students and the school district.

We've received several enquiries from realtors requesting
clarification on how students are assigned to our various
schools - in particular, our Middle Schools.
Jefferson Intermediate School and Hardin Middle School,
unlike our other buildings, serve the entire district; that
is, all district students in grades 5 and 6 will attend
Jefferson, and all students in grades 7 and 8 will attend
Hardin.
Students in grades K through 4 and 9 through
12 will attend the schools indicated in the
District Address Search list, based on their street
address.

By law, school districts are required
to make up the first six snow days encountered each year.
After that, school districts are required to make up half of
the next eight (8) snow days. As of February 3, 2011, the
District has experienced seven (7) snow days so far this
year. If the District experiences no more snow days, the
last day of the school year would be Friday, May 27, 2011.
